1. About This Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how we process your personal data at CreatorGPT, which we’ll refer to as “CreatorGPT” throughout the rest of this document.
It applies to your use of CreatorGPT as a user who interacts with our chat interface to ask questions, receive AI-generated responses, and review the sources cited alongside those responses.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:
- Chat content. The questions, prompts, and follow-up messages you submit through the chat interface, and the conversation history we build from those interactions.
- Browser identifier. A randomly generated, non-personal identifier stored as an HTTP-only cookie (
owner_id) so that we can associate your conversations with your current browser. - Technical information. Standard server logs such as request paths, user-agent strings, and timestamps, collected to operate, debug, and secure the service.
We do not ask for your name, email address, payment information, or any other directly identifying information. Anything personal that appears in our records is only there because you chose to type it into a chat message.
3. How We Collect Your Information
We collect information when you:
- Submit a message or follow-up through the chat interface.
- Continue an existing conversation in the same browser (your
owner_idcookie is read on each request so we can return your prior messages).
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Store and display your chat history within your browser session.
- Generate responses, which involves sending your latest message and a short window of conversation context (“memory”) to our upstream AI service.
- Diagnose service issues, prevent abuse, and improve performance.
5. Sharing Your Information
We only share information under specific, limited circumstances:
- Third-party AI provider. To generate responses, your messages and recent conversation context are sent to an external AI service. The provider processes this content only as needed to produce a reply.
- Legal compliance. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to enforce our Terms of Service.
- Business transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the successor entity under equivalent terms.
We do not sell or rent your data.
6. Your Data Protection Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights with respect to data associated with your browser identifier:
- Access. Request a copy of the conversation data linked to your
owner_id. - Deletion. Delete an individual conversation directly from the sidebar, or contact us to remove all data linked to your browser identifier.
- Opt out. Stop using the service at any time. Clearing your
owner_idcookie ends the association between your browser and any prior conversations.
To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@creatorgpt.org.
7. Retention of Information
- Chat conversations are retained until you delete them, or until your
owner_idcookie expires. - Server logs are retained for a limited period for operational and security purposes, after which they are aggregated or deleted.
8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
8.1 Cookies set by CreatorGPT
CreatorGPT sets a single first-party cookie, owner_id, used to associate your browser with your conversations. The cookie contains a randomly generated identifier with no personally identifying information, and is set as HTTP-only and same-site. Deleting this cookie starts a fresh browser session with no prior history.
8.2 Third-party tracking
CreatorGPT does not use third-party advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies.
9. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. While we strive to safeguard your information, no system can guarantee complete security.
10. Third-Party Links
Assistant responses may include links to third-party websites, including content from social platforms. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those external sites, and we encourage you to review their policies before interacting with them.
11. Children’s Policy
Our platform is not intended for use by minors under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we discover that such data has been collected, we will delete it promptly.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Updates will be effective upon posting. For significant changes, we will post a clear notice on the site.
